1. Make your health a priority! Showing up for yourself will yield results—but sometimes, the hardest thing to do is to make that appointment and follow through. We hope to help our patients believe that they are important enough for good health, and it’s something that you deserve.
2. Take responsibility for your health. There’s no one else who can make you healthy except for you! We often give our patients additional recommendations after performing adjustments or other modalities, like stretching and exercises. Doing those little recommendations day in and day out will help make all the difference—and ensure that you see the results you want to.
There are a few other things you can do to help take responsibility for your health, including:
Eat a healthy diet—give these three meals a try:
Breakfast: Omelet with vegetables, whole grain toast, fruit
Lunch: Chicken salad with olive oil and vinegar, whole grain pita bread, fruit
Dinner: Salmon with roasted vegetables, quinoa, green salad
Get regular exercise. Aim for a few days a week for at least thirty minutes each.
Get enough sleep. It’s important to allow your body adequate time to rest and reset.
See your doctor for regular checkups—that includes medical doctors and chiropractors!
Take steps to reduce stress in your life. Stress can be environmental, physical, or emotional.
